SHAME

SHAME is an experimental short film that parodies the indie game Stardew Valley, critiquing the game's monogamous marriage mechanics. It's the first of a series of works from Love with Pain: An AI Drag Operetta Against Fascism, currently in production. I wrote the lyrics and then developed music and visuals in collaboration with a variety of commercial AI tools that many consider shameful. All the characters — the pink and blue AI diva Miz and her three male suitors — are degraded AI variations of me in male and female drag. The film explores polyamory, queer identity, transformation and degradation while challenging the monogamous relationship structures that predominate globally and are embedded in popular gaming culture.
